What exactly are you trying to achieve? Your question is rather generic and unclear at this point.
Am I correct to assume that you would like to remove artefacts from images?
If so, what are these artefacts? Additionally, what is your definition of ''corrected''?
For example - one could assume that the problems experienced when photographing in a dust-storm would be somewhat different to those experienced when photographing during bush-fire season when the air is filled with smoke. These two situations would of course present different challenges than one would expect if attempting to take photographs with heavy/light smog. (Hint: think of the extra level of complexity introduced by the inversion layer)
